Cycordis is a set of cluttered yet consciously aware set of emotions charged with nostalgic neediness, if not guilt. The term was coined by Dominus, the creator of this record, who needed to convey an honest expression of the whole album into a single word.

Cycordis derives from "cyber" - the digital manifesto, computer crafts, the spider web of worldwide connectivity & the latin word "cordis", which can be roughly translated to 'heart' or derived from the heart. Coincidentally, another Latin word, chordis, spelled very similarly to the other, translates to 'strings' which happens to be the primary instrument of this record. So, by that context, the album can be put as - digitally created music coming from the heart; and as ludicrous as that sounds, it is possibly, maybe the most honest interpretation he could provide.

This record was made remembering Dominus' own childhood. He refers to this album as his gateway to instant nostalgia and upliftment; and even though he admits nothing about his childhood was quite uplifting - it was a good excuse for him to etch into the little specks of happiness he gathered from what seemed to be the most unlikely sources of happiness for a child - horror films & an old dying woman to name a few.

Another major influence on this album was the creator's obsession with string music, lush & experimental string arrangements that he grew up listening to along with the spontaneity of the underground electronic scene of the 2000s which resulted in a merge of strings, IDM, glitch pop and even dance for this particular project.

He wishes everyone to enjoy this album remembering their own childhood, and hopes to aid anyone who has a hard time coping up with life, for music is the greatest tool of escapism.
